Since there was a bumper crop this year once again, I am opening up my pumpkins to anyone on the ridge or friends of mine who would like some free pumpkins to decorate their porches or yards with.
Why not? I enjoy growing them and I really enjoy the fun when the kids come out and pick some pumpkins up.
I have a row of my own on my porch and some decorating parts of the yard.
I'm still trying to find my way through each day. The times I really miss him are the times we'd sit together and watch some Britbox on TV. Hmmm, or when we'd chat over coffee, or when he'd ask for popcorn, or ...well, he is always on my mind.
Most of my mornings involve some coffee and then a nice walk along the ridge with Charlie. So many September mornings start with fog. It is visually beautiful.
I think I'm doing pretty okay. With the yard, fences, pastures, all under control for now, I have time to take some hikes.
Sunday seemed like a perfect day for that.
The foggy photos are beautiful! Such pretty pumpkins and so nice of you to share with the local kids. That grouping on your porch is very pretty with the Nasturtiums and Coleus! One day at a time Val. It would be odd if you did not miss the love of your life.
ReplyDeleteI hope lots of pumpkin seekers come to visit!!!
ReplyDeleteI bet you start a sentence to Rich several times a day before you remember. He is listening. (hugs)
That's cool to share your pumpkins. I always told my son, who wanted the biggest, "which ever pumpkin you can carry, we can get." It's okay to just take care of you and change some coffee times a bit. Linda in Kansas
ReplyDeleteWow, that’s a lot of pumpkins. Wish I could grow them like that. The raccoons and other critters eat them before they mature. Glad you can get out and hike. I’m sure being at home makes you miss Rich so much as the house is too quiet. We’re still waiting on rain and cool weather here. RHill, TX
ReplyDeleteEveryone needs a friendly neighbour like you.
ReplyDeleteI think I envy your mornings. It looks very overcast here this morning. We had a wee bit of rain last night, but not enough to help the situation.
ReplyDeleteThat red sky is off the charts. I'm glad you love photography as we get to benefit from your shots. Your days must be very different and I hope you have been able to catch your breath. Lori
ReplyDeleteThat is an abundance of pumpkins! Beautiful sky photo, Really beautiful. I imagine it is difficult in the moments when you say something and he's not there. As long as you are there, so is Rich. You remember him.
ReplyDeleteHe'll be there a long time. It was ages before I stopped turning to tell Handsome Partner something or take pictures to show him when he was housebound, but it's okay. He's with you in a different way, but it takes some getting used to.
