Stopping for a moment

...to just relax and think of other things...

I went back to last summer and browsed through photos I took but did nothing with...

for today, I just want to share to peaceful tranquility...

and moments...

this taken in July while sitting on a rock in our creek...

in this place there is no cell service. No one can bother me other than insects and perhaps bird calls. I can listen to the breezes above as they rustle tree leaves.

I may try it this week, although, I would be wearing winter coveralls or something similar to a snow suit. I can just sit on the old cottonwood tree's huge roots.... and settle in and just be...for a while.

Our bodies and minds need these quiet times just to be still and shut out the “noise” around us. Glad you can do that. So necessary for caregivers. RHill, TX

Fantastic tranquil photo!! Give all the feels. The color, dragonfly ripples and stillness. All things reflection.

Enjoy the pending snowfall/s and all that it can offer.

You live in a perfect place for this quiet to come into your life. I am also trying to make the best of each day.

Take what time you need in your quiet place:)

I’m sure it could be pleasant on the right winter day.

We all need these havens of tranquility in a world that seems more ominous every day. Keep enjoying your solitude. I wish I could do it with you. I know it wouldn’t be solitude then, but I would be as quiet as a church mouse!

From Mary Oliver's Poem 'How I go into the Woods.....
"Ordinarily, I go to the woods alone, with not a single
friend, for they are all smilers and talkers and therefore
unsuitable.
------
If you have ever gone to the woods with me, I must love
you very much.”

It is usually pleasant there. No winter winds find you on the feet of the old cottonwood tree. In the summer it is shaded a peaceful.
Win-Win.

I would stay there for naps if I could!

We all need that these days.

Right now, one day at a time rings very true.

It was peaceful while doing the chores. I'll go out a bit later to go watch it in the woods.

Like you I like my outdoor walks. Well, not today. The wind is up and blowing 15 cm snow everywhere, that I carefully blew off the driveway!
