Happy Halloween!

I didn't do any decorating this year for Halloween as generally no one comes to our place. The Gargoyle was a new photo I did yesterday when the storms moved in.

The rest below are from years past.

When I decorated the woods out back with creepy ghosts and Twana Stick figures...

Happy Halloween if you celebrate it.

  1. Halloween seems to be falling out of favour here. I see very few houses decorated.

    1. In our town which is 10 miles away, there were a lot of houses decorated and lots of activities for kids. In our rural area where there are only 5 houses in a 3 mile radius, there are are not many children.
One of the farms even had a Dia de los Muertos celebration that was really quite popular.

  2. Those photos are fantastic!. We also have never had kids out here. It was a very busy night when we lived in St. Paul.

    1. With this weather, I am staying inside and...what else??? I'm getting out my spooky creatures to photograph. It is a perfect dark, rainy, nasty day!

  3. Despite my posts of other people's decor, all we do is put corn stalks on our porch posts (this lasts from Sept through Thanksgiving) and I put pillow covers on my porch pillows. I do have several expensive mums that sit out since the elementary school keeps selling them and I still have way too many grandchildren in elementary school. I will have about 5 more years of mums, but hopefully the number I have to purchase drops.

    1. On the ridge yesterday they had 50+ mph winds which blew corn stalks right off from people's places! It was wild.
I do love mums and I had some for a couple of years. They seemed not to make it over winter!

LD.....We too did not celebrate this year. A friend gave us a fancy pumpkin. I didn't want to sit outside in the cold this year to hand out candy for two years. I do miss seeing my neighbor boys but I can see them out the back window.
