Dreams...

Dreams...

The air grows crisp and the trees

release their leaves...

in colors of red and gold.

Barberries' sharp thorns

catch leaves like lost dreams.

This week has been the most beautiful time of the year in my neck of the woods. On my way to preschool I pass two very tall trees that are 100% bright red. If the sun is shining, they are blinding! Just lovely.

And you are a poet. I am impressed.

I can get poetic when I am moody. LOL.

The colors are such a mix of beautiful hues right now. I took a long hike just to drink it all in yesterday.

You're a poet too. Love those red berries or whatever it is they are. Have a good weekend out there. Do you know that we are on similar latitudes. Minneapolis is about 45N and we are 46N.

Actually, I am at 43N, which puts us in SW Wisconsin. I'm about 30 miles east of the Mississippi River. Not far from the same latitude though!
The red berries are from the barberry bushes that invaded the woods. :)
Thorny and pretty in the fall.

Barberries are invasive but no one can doubt that they are beautiful. You have a very deft touch with a camera. Well done. And you rank highly as a wordsmith too.
