Every day since December 11th, at least one bluebird is showing up every day at the heated bird bath.
They come when I am not paying attention and hang around sometimes long enough for me to grab a shot out the window.
Every once in a while. I swear the one that sits on the right stares at me for a while through the window.
It is gone, leaving me to wonder if I'd really seen it at all.
I have proof. That Bluebird is watching me.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Rich's favorite bird was the bluebird. They hung around while he was here in Hospice.
Did he send them to keep an eye on me?
Hmmm.

Yes, he did. I think he's letting you know he is at peace, Val.
ReplyDeleteI think you've answered your own question!
ReplyDeleteI think I recognize the glint in that bluebird's eye! The birds are just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty bird! Yes I think that Rich sent them:)
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet birds and I love how you've caught the one looking at you. It's a sign Val.
ReplyDeleteIt is a very welcome visitor.
ReplyDeleteAwww so adorable! These are such good photos!
ReplyDeleteThat is a sweet story and he very well might have 💙
ReplyDeleteMore and more bluebirds spend the winter here in southern Ontario. They are perhaps hardier than we previously gave them credit for.
ReplyDeleteThey could be, but I like to pretend that they were here just for me.
DeleteI think Rich is always with you, Val. I wish we had bluebirds in Hawaii too. They're such pretty birds.
ReplyDeleteBluebirds of happiness! A Blogger friend once told me the universe shows us what our hearts need.
ReplyDeleteThe bluebird viewing is such a great experience. They are so wonderful and your forest must keep them warm. I too would think they would have gone south.
ReplyDeleteSolace can be found even in a little blue bird.
